Challenge
Natural disasters, such as hurricanes or earthquakes, are impossible to avoid, sometimes damaging people’s belongings or leaving them homeless and without resources as they pass through the land. With the passage of Hurricane Ian in 2022, we witnessed the damage it caused, which motivated us to be a helping hand to those victims of these inevitable phenomena.
Solution
We will have a monetary fund to purchase resources for people affected by natural disasters. Among the resources would be quality food, gallons or bottles of water, clothing, electric generators, etc. But also, we will provide construction materials and help in the reconstruction of affected houses or structures. This solution would extend to groups of people trying to help in these disasters, supporting the recovery of the community.
Long-term impact
The people previously affected will be able to leave behind the chaos experienced and use the resources to rebuild their lives. The structures would be repaired, and the lost objects would be replaced, returning to continue with everyday life.
